Wonderful Wentzler Wednesday

This is the second time I have had to post this particular post due to some sort of maintenance done by Blogger ... hence the discrepancy with the date:

This practice of devoting one day to the Faerie has exceeded all my expectations, moving along a BAP that was stalled for nearly two years! Section III is done. All that remains is the skirt and legs in Section IV and the beading in the border. I feel fairly confident that I'll finish this project before month's end.

You are certainly making good progress. What is a BAP?

A BAP is a Big A** Project and generally refers to something that is both large and complex in execution. The complexity could stem from frequent color changes, lots of blended needles, a great deal of back-stitching and elaborate beading as in a Teresa Wentzler project OR it could involve lots of specialty stitches like a Victoria's Sampler or Sweetheart Tree Project OR it could result from the meticulously careful counting involved in a symmetrical geometric or Quaker design. And sometimes a piece qualifies as a BAP simply because of size ... I've done pieces with
nine pages of chart ... definitely a BAP.
