Liam & Zen & Kermit the Frog

I don't ordinarily post pictures of my children or my grandson but this one of Liam is just too much. Now, I know my son and daughter-in-law think this is just Liam hamming it up in front of the camera. I have another take on it entirely. Being a totally unbiased grandmother, I believe Liam is engaged in a very Zen moment here. He is not only carrying Kermit the Frog, he is being Kermit the Frog. I say that the face Liam is making is very intentional and clever mimicry ... I mean, he's only 10 months old but one can see he is positively brilliant.

He is a cutie!
It does look like he is trying to work something out! The meaning of life perhaps!?!

Ah, Riona - he's certainly a charmer, you're right. But I am also biased. My son (43) warns anyone who comes near me in public to hold on to their little boys, because I'm really a bad fairy in disguise and I will kidnap all of them........Is there anything more delicious than a little boy who smiles that innocent little look at you? My grandson (now 19 and safe from capture) was one of those little cuties, too. Talk about melting.....ah, I'm so bad.
Riona, don't ever let any knitter give you a bad time. Try again, and don't listen to negative comments. Always find somebody who will help you in a positive way. Nancy in N MN

Thank you all ... it's great to have my ever so unbiased opinion reinforced by objective observers.

And, to Nancy, once I read the comment about knitting, I realized you must be another faithful reader of Yarn Harlot's blog ... thanks for the encouragement. The knitter I showed my work to was one of my younger sisters [I am the oldest and a decided over-achiever] and I think she was gloating because, as she said, she'd finally found something she was better at than I was ... so I had to forgive her, it was a sort of backwards compliment. But I will be taking that course ASAP ... after seeing all the grand socks Stephanie knits I want to try to knit some, too. Though I guess I'd better not try to start with those grape leaves socks that really blew me away ... something a wee bit simpler, I would imagine, heh?
