September's Giveaway: a Halloween theme

While doing a spot of stash grazing, I discovered that I have slightly more Halloween charts than Christmas charts to stitch. Not surprising really, since Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I have determined to stitch one Halloween project a month until I catch up with my stash. I stitched Glory Bee's Flying Monkeys many years ago, her Which Witch in July and her Halloween Trio in the past few days as well as Fanci That's Mr. Jack O Lantern in August. I will be offerring these gently used charts as my September giveaway, in time to stitch up for Halloween. The giveaway, as usual, is open to all stitchers: from the US, Canada and the international community ... though I know few countries make as big a fuss over Halloween as the US. Since today is my birthday, I shall celebrate by adding a bonus, a mystery grab bag of miscellaneous charts: hint - my tastes are very eclectic and so is this grab bag.
To enter, just leave a comment at the end of this post telling why you enjoy stitching Halloween themed charts ... to double your chances of winning, mention/link this giveaway on your own blog. The winner will be chosen on Sept. 10. Good luck to all who enter.

Happy Birthday!

In Australia we don't celebrate Halloween - but the bits & pieces are creeping in. Some trick or treaters will try their luck, but it's not in our cultural makeup to go beserk over it - YET.
However, the past couple of years, I've found myself drawn to some quirky Halloween Designs - this year i've stitched a few and am planning more.

Thank you for this chance!

Well.....Happy Birthday to you! September is a great month for a birthday....just at the beginning of Fall...my favorite season.

While Halloween isn't my favoritest holiday to stitch for, I DO enjoy it because Halloween is my 19yo DD's favorite holiday. This year it is extra special because we are having her baby shower on Halloween. So I'm looking for something fun to stitch for a couple of prizes.

Thank you for the chance to win your giveaway. Oh, and I'm posting it on my blog also!

Wow! A birthday and a giveaway--what could be better! I think Halloween was always a special time for me because for just one night out of the year, I could put on a witch costume or an old, ragged lady costume or anything (those were my favorites though!) and be whomever I wanted to be. No longer was I the shy, quiet girl, but I was the scariest witch or the most exotic gypsy. To this day, I love to see the neighborhood kids come to our home in disguise, trick-or-treating for their chocolate surprises. It brings back such wonderful memories...

Happy Belated Birthday! I love Halloween, my house is decorated inside and out for it. I think it's the fantasy of it - dressing up as something else, not trying to hide, just having fun. I also like the low-stress of the holiday, there isn't anything involved except the costume and getting ready for the children to come. It's hard to decide if I want to take my kids, or let dh do it so I can answer the door! I'd love a chance at your prize, what a generous offer!

Happy Birthday! I'd mention this on my blog, but I don't have one. I love cross-stitching because it relaxes me from my job, teaching reading to 5th-8th graders. thank you for the chance to enter. I like alloween and Thanksgiving stitching more than Christmas.

Hi Regina - I would LOVE to enter your contest. Halloween plays a close favorite of mine to Christmas. I love making my child, nieces and nephews their halloween costumes, and now look forward to making my grand-daughters first costume - a ladybug!!! I love decorating for halloween and witches are actually my favorite for halloween. I wish I could double my changes but I don't have a blog - I don't even know how to go about getting one lol. Thanks so much for the chance and have a great day.

Happy belated Birthday! I hope it was a great one!
I don't have a great many Halloween-themed charts in my stash as of yet but I really like the ones I have so far. I think it's a good opportunity to use various shades of ORANGE! Seems a simple reason really but I don't get to use this colour for much else in my stitching! I guess it all comes down to fun colours for me!

I'll put the link to this contest on my blog for others to have a chance!
Fun!

I'd LOVE to enter!

As for Halloween stitching, I love it because it reminds me of spiders spinning their threads (Arachne and all that). So, sewing a spider with thread seems very appropo to me! I also love seeing orange and purple together (my favorite Halloween combo!)

I love Halloween charts because it reminds me of how fun it was to dress up in costume as a kid and go get free candy. I also love cats and all the great halloween candy like candy corn and candy pumpkins. You can eat all the candy you want and do it guilt free for several days after Halloween.
Hope I can do a link as well, I have never done one. - check out "the sampler stitcher" which is my new blogging effort.
