Not Just a Happy Dance but a Veritable Ballet.

Considering the many moods of this piece: make that three ballets: Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake for all the serene repeat and fill stitching, Stravinsky's Rites of Spring for all the bold specialty stitching and Copeland's Rodeo for all the brilliant and rollicking color.

I know the rotation called for working on the Mint tea towel on Tuesdays and I did manage to put a very few stitches in that project as per the rotation.  But I was so close to a finish on The English Band Sampler that I devoted most of Tuesday's stitching time to that piece.  I put the last stitch in the sampler Tuesday evening after supper.  I realize this is a very poor photo. but I couldn't take an outdoor shot what with all the snow and damp.  I'll take a better photo tomorrow

Put on your toe shoes and dance with me.

And for those who want the full details:
--the chart appears in three parts in the 2012 Spring, Summer and Fall issues of Sampler and Antique Needlework Quarterly
--the designer is Susan Haverson of Cross Stitch It who adapted this design from antique samplers
-- the sampler is stitched on 30ct cream Northern Cross linen with DMC floss.
--the full size of the stitched area  is 25 3/8 inches by 10 1/4 inches.

Woo hoo! I apologize for suggesting you may not finish it. Unless that's what motivated you. At any rate congratulations! I look forward to your photos.
