Maybe Sleeping Beauty was because of size alone.
But my Nimue Baby Swing was much more of a BAP because of the difficulty deciphering the chart!
Lst year I spend 6 months working on a bluebell wood for a friend because I misread 165 stitching hours for only 65 hours!
This year I have done many more smalls than any other year thanks to forums and blog challenges!Jo who can't think of a clever nicknamehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02663450738390351663noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7951437392335459355.post-30299951834043029722011-12-11T13:04:27.463-05:002011-12-11T13:04:27.463-05:00I think those are the things I think of. And I think the reason that we seem to be slowing down is because of increasing demands on our time. Between the full-time job for which I am paid, and the full-time job of maintaining a home for which the rewards are intrinsic, time for concentrated embroidery seems to slip away.Annhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01594062765497139363noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7951437392335459355.post-87615803033892367192011-12-07T19:31:57.496-05:002011-12-07T19:31:57.496-05:00I'm one of those people who haven't got an...I'm one of those people who haven't got any finishes done this year..Between being very slow and my arthritis and gout...I kinda give up for weeks at a time!I have decided to just do small projects from now on,,,,now whst do I do with my 30 Mystic Stitch patterns?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7951437392335459355.post-45698416777163192202011-12-07T18:27:07.830-05:002011-12-07T18:27:07.830-05:00I would include the quality of the graph in what q...I would include the quality of the graph in what qualifies as a BAP. Some of the older and even some modern European graphs are hand drawn and it can be a real challenge to say if you're looking at a / or a ) at times. And don't even get me started on fractional stitches on hand-drawn graphs!barbarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11898566437682135391noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7951437392335459355.post-83932880142240821662011-12-07T17:10:09.642-05:002011-12-07T17:10:09.642-05:00I think you've nailed it. It's been hard to accept that I just don't have time like I used to, but that is life. As long as we enjoy what we stitch, I guess that should be enough!Rachel S-Hhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09107389853919180602noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7951437392335459355.post-19583902147808147382011-12-07T16:35:54.884-05:002011-12-07T16:35:54.884-05:00No, I would not include finishing, but I think you...No, I would not include finishing, but I think you are spot on with the other items. They are all factors for me, when I consider upcoming projects. I really admire the stitchers that have numerous "challenging" projects in their rotation at one time!Kayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08201870465892695388noreply@blogger.com
